Welcome to our classroom website!  You will find all the information you need on this website. There will be pictures and updates throughout the year.  I will try to update the spelling words and important information each week, but I am forgetful at times.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns through remind text.  Remind is the best way to contact me. However, if you need to speak directly, I am available during the day most days at 7:35 a.m., 12:30-1:20 p.m., and some days right after school from 3:15 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.

About me:

Hi!  I'm Mrs. Crites.  This is my 7th year at PH and 12th year in education.  I have three children and am married to my college neighbor of 18 years!  We live on a small little farm with pigs, cows, chickens, and sheep.  I love llamas, laughter, and lattes (COFFEE! HA!).  I'm looking forward to this new school year!

  Spelling Words

We will not have traditional spelling tests to be studied this year. The school is starting a new Heggerty/ Science of Reading program that will teach students the patterns to learn in order to decode and understand words while reading and spelling.

Below is a list of words you can work on if you feel like you would like to practice more with  your child at home. This list only follows our comprehension curriculum and will not follow our Heggerty phonics curriculum.
