About Me!
Hello! My name is Mrs. Ellingson and I am from Angola, Indiana. I am a Prairie Heights alumni. I am so excited to be starting my second year of teaching! This year, I will be teaching English 9, Honors English 9, and Preparing for College and Careers. I am excited to get to know more about you through your writing while also getting to help you explore your plans after high school. Outside of teaching, I enjoy taking care of my cats, lakeside sunsets, reading, and watching shows like Psych and Gilmore Girls.
Education
I earned my Bachelor’s in Education and Literary Studies from Anderson University in 2024. Currently, I am working to receive my Master’s in English through the Teach Dual Credit Indiana program to teach dual credit courses in the future!
Teaching Philosophy
Education is the foundation for success throughout life. Education is not just essays and worksheets, though; it is sharing life experiences, discussions, and honest reflections. These activities can empower students to become the best version of themselves and help others grow.

Please ensure your student has the following materials for the first day of classes:
Class-specific notebook (college or wide-ruled)
Class-specific folder or binder
Note: English 9 students need a one-
inch binder!
