Shipra Sinha completed her PhD from Indian Institute of Geomagnetism, Mumbai, in the field of Space Weather and Space Physics. She is currently a Research Associate at Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. Her area of research focuses on analysing the effects of magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling at high latitudes, which mainly includes the magnetospheric substorm processes. She will soon be joining Goddard Space Flight Centre, NASA, as a post doctorate researcher, where she will continue her work on understanding the mechanisms during sudden solar wind pressure impulses leading to substorm onsets away from the midnight sector.
