1. High School Baseball Tryouts will be May 28th and 29th at 12 pm at Reiff Park. Please scan the QR code located outside of the cafeteria to sign up.
2. Softball tryouts will be held on May 22nd and 23rd from 3:30-5:30 at the high school field. To sign up, scan one of the QR codes on the flyers posted around the school.
3. Tennis tryouts will be Thursday, May 23 at 3:30 at the tennis courts. If you have not signed up and want to play tennis next year, see Ms. Laird ASAP.
4. Chromebooks and chargers must be turned in to the high school library as you finish up with all your testing.

Students must also write an essay and provide a teacher recommendation. Applications are due back Wednesday, May 1st.

Tickets are $35. Please make checks payable to PGHS. Tickets cannot be purchased at the door.

3. 11th graders will be taking the ACT Test tomorrow. Please report to your testing location by the first bell on Tuesday morning. Remember to bring sharpened #2 pencils, an approved calculator if you have one you prefer over the school calculator provided, and a snack, drink, and jacket, if you wish. All cell phones and backpacks will be locked in a designated area until testing is complete.

2. High School Special Education Students will host a bake sale on Valentine's Day in the morning and during both lunches. The bake sale will help sponsor their Field trip to The Courage Therapeutic Riding Center. Items sold will range from 1 to 3 dollars.
3. There will be a cheer and dance interest meeting in Mrs. Orr's room during both lunches today. If you are interested in trying out for either team, please attend the meeting!
4. Attention Freshmen! We will have Parent Information Meetings about the new Community Service requirement on Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 pm in the cafeteria. You and your parents are encouraged to attend. Again, this is only applicable to 9th graders.

6. Congratulations to Luis Acuna on making the Arkansas All State Choir for the 2nd year in a row. In all of Arkansas, there were 3,600 students who auditioned for All Region Choir last fall, then 941 students from that group auditioned for All State. Luis is one of the top 400 singers from all of Arkansas. We are very proud of him!

Students researched social issues and made connections by choosing a problem/topic that was meaningful to them. They created a design of their issue using positive and negative space. They transferred their design to a block that they then carved out and printed.

6. The High School Jazz Band will be playing Tuesday, on Valentine's day ,- 2nd lunch.. in the High School Library,
7. If you are taking the ACT this Saturday at Farmington or Lincoln be sure to take your identification. If you do not have any picture identification you need to see Mrs. Hunt ASAP. You will not be allowed to test unless you have a valid picture ID with you that morning.
