Kelly Banks is a twenty-two year veteran teacher in the Pascagoula-Gautier school District currently teaching sixth grade reading at Trent Lott Academy. She received a B.A. degree in Paralegal Studies from the University of Southern Mississippi. In 2001 she received her alternate route teacher certification in English. She has been active in the area of integrating technology in ELA classroom. She is an avid user of Google Apps for Education, Promethean Software, Ready instructional programs, and most recently digital interactive notebooks. She has been Teacher of the Year in 2007 and 2013. Her other achievements include several Google Fundamentals certifications, Octave Educator certification and a 2017 Fund For Teacher Fellow.
