Before registering for a course, please take a moment to read this page and the pages in the menu above which will give you an overview of the online course program.
Please note that the training offered below is different from the face-to-face training offered by the CTL and from training administered by Eva Harvell, Stoney Rogers, and Jeannie Steer.
Online Courses at a Glance:
The Technology Department offers a variety of online courses. The online courses are accessible from any computer and anywhere you have Internet access. In other words, you learn at your own rate (within schedule limits) and set your own times.
The Technology Dept. has no laptops to loan or computers to spare. One should have a good home computer and broadband Internet connection that can pass the system requirements or you should plan to use a school computer during your non-duty time. If you plan to use a school computer, be sure to get principal approval to use it during your planning periods or end of the work day.
The majority of these courses, especially the Microsoft Office courses will be available to Licensed and Classified personnel, including assistants. CEU credits are available for Licensed staff.

Mississippi Connects Professional Development Hub offers free sessions through Friedtechnology.
E-Learning with Mississippi Public Broadcasting. The courses cost $75 each, but CEU's are given with satisfactory completion of courses.
The Gulf Coast Education Initiative Consortium and the Southern-Regional Educational Service Agency also offer various workshops for CEUs. Prices will vary.
The University of Southern Mississippi has partnered with VESi to provide online courses available for CEUs or SEMI credit. Courses offered for 3 or 4.5 CEUs and 20 or 35 SEMI Credits with fees starting at $209.
The Office of Professional Development and Lifelong Learning through The University of Mississippi provides various online, and face-2-face trainings.
Earn CEUs, OSLs, and SEMIs online with the Mississippi University for Women. Each six-week course earns 2.0 CEUs, 1 OSL, or 15 SEMIs. Mississippi State University Extension's online Teacher Development courses are the perfect way for teachers to continue to earn CEUs for license renewal. Our courses are completed completely online from start to finish! They offer courses that are worth 0.5 up to 2.4 CEUs. Choose from self-paced or instructor-led courses. View a course listing here.
