Mission Statement

The Prince George High School Library strives to empower patrons with the resources, tools, skills, services, resources, and knowledge to become successful lifelong learners. By supporting the needs of the curriculum, the library staff plays a pivotal role in transforming students into responsible and ethical creators of ideas and information.

Library Procedures

Library Etiquette

-Maintain low volume. Be mindful of your surroundings.

-Respect materials and equipment. All eating and drinking should take place in the commons prior to entering the library. Critters love spills and crumbs.

-Keep your area clean. Return chairs and materials to their proper place. Please return materials to the circulation desk or designated carts around the library if you are not checking them out.


Resource Use/Policies

Circulation

-You may check out up to five books for a period of three weeks. You must present your student ID to check out books.

-Holds: See a staff member about placing an item on hold if it is already checked out.

Fines

-Overdue materials are charged 10 cents per book, per day late.

-Lost and damaged books will cost the replacement price of the book.

Computer Use

-Students must follow the District's Acceptable Use Policy.

-Printing - first five pages free, additional pages are 10 cents each.


Visiting Policies

-Students must fill out an Appointment Request Form

-Present a signed pass from your teacher to an adult staff member.
