Currently there are two areas to consider. One is the school district and community services that are available to students verses those which need to shut down during this time to protect patrons. The other are online learning opportunities to keep kids from falling behind academically during this time. Please click the headers below for more information.
The Pittsburgh Public Schools is committed to continuing to serve lunch for those students in need. During the week of March 16, 11am - 1 pm, students can get grab-and-go lunch at their local PPS school. Click here for a list of grab-and-go lunch locations.

The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh is a fundamental part of our community that provides families a place for gathering, learning, and internet access. Scholastic Learn at Home - Free for students grades PreK-8+

Carnegie Library Stay In & Read - Free student or family reading challenge
Beginning Monday, March 23, sign you or your whole family up to join the challenge. Start logging your books read and see how many you have much like during the summer reading programs.
Audible - Start streaming and listening stories online
Audible has made a collection of their stories free for students during this time. Stories can be streamed and listened to on smartphones, tablets, laptops and computers.
PBS Kids (website and free app)
Games and videos that teach and entertain primary and elementary students.
Games for kids K-5 in letters, numbers, and skills.
