Update for the Week of May 10th

Good Afternoon CAPA Families,

We are very happy to finally say that PSSA testing is officially behind us! Thank you to our students, families, and staff for all of the support, patience, and flexibility throughout the testing window. As we move into the final stretch of the school year, the pace certainly is not slowing down.

This week, our high school students will begin Keystone Exams and continue AP testing. In addition, we are excited for several major student performances this week, including our instrumental and dance showcases. We are incredibly proud of the hard work and talent our students continue to demonstrate both in the classroom and on the stage.

We are also looking forward to our Take a Father to School Day on May 15. This is always a wonderful opportunity to welcome families and supportive adults into our building and celebrate the important connections that help our students succeed.

Families are also encouraged to attend this week’s virtual PSCC Meeting on Wednesday. @ 10:30 We appreciate the partnership and support of our parent community and hope to see many of you there. The meeting can be joined here.

As we begin preparing for the end of the school year, we also want to share some important information regarding final exams and schedules. Senior Finals are scheduled for June 3-5. Instructors who need to administer senior finals earlier may do so during the week of June 1. Teachers will communicate directly with students and families regarding any adjusted final exam dates.

Semester exams for students in grades 9-11 will take place June 9-12. Please note that June 11 and June 12 will be half days for students. There are only a few weeks remaining in the school year, but they are among the busiest and most exciting weeks we have at CAPA.
