Principal's Message
Dear CAPA Families,
As we enter the final week of the 2025-2026 school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on what an incredible year it has been. Our students have grown tremendously as artists, scholars, and members of our community, and we are so proud of everything they have accomplished. Thank you for your partnership and support throughout the year—it has truly helped make CAPA such a special place.
As we wrap up the school year, please keep an eye out for next week's summer newsletter, which will include important information to help families prepare for the 2026-2027 school year.
The Three Rivers Arts Festival is now in full swing, and we received a preview of the resulting downtown road closures and traffic congestion last week. Families should anticipate similar delays throughout this week and plan accordingly for morning arrival, dismissal, and evening events. Allowing a little extra travel time will help ensure students arrive safely and on time. The festival Map can be Found here.
This week, we are especially excited to celebrate the Class of 2026 as they prepare for commencement. Graduation practice will take place on Monday at CAPA and again on Tuesday, June 9, at 5:30 PM at the Peterson Events Center. Please remember that attendance at the Peterson practice is mandatory for all graduates. Commencement will be held on Thursday, June 11, at 6:00 PM, and graduates should arrive by 5:00 PM.
We will also celebrate our eighth-grade students at 8th Grade Promotion, which will be held in the CAPA Theater at 9:30 AM on Friday, June 12.
This week is also Finals Week for our high school students, with final exams taking place Tuesday through Friday. We encourage all students to finish the year strong and be well-rested and prepared each day.
Please note that Thursday and Friday are half days for all students. High school students will be dismissed at 11:10 AM following their final exams, while middle school students will be dismissed at their regular half-day time of 11:55 AM.
Students will also be returning their school devices this week according to the following schedule:
Tuesday, June 10: Grades 6-8 will return devices during their Social Studies classes.
Friday, June 12: Grades 9-11 will return devices during Homeroom.
Please note that on both device collection days, Homeroom will take place after the Block C final exam.
As a reminder, summer assignments are now posted on the CAPA District website, so families can begin planning for the upcoming school year.
Finally, congratulations to our own Ms. Fevola, who was recognized as Middle School Teacher of the Year at this week's Educational Partnership Teacher Appreciation Awards. This honor is incredibly well deserved, and we are fortunate to have her as part of the CAPA family.
Thank you again for a wonderful school year. We look forward to celebrating our students throughout the week and wish all of our CAPA families a safe, restful, and joyful summer!
Have a great week, everyone!
