Update for the Week of March 8th

Dear CAPA Families,

As we move into March, we’re excited to celebrate Women’s History Month at Pittsburgh CAPA. Throughout the month, our students and staff will be recognizing the many contributions women have made in the arts, sciences, leadership, and social movements. At CAPA, where creativity and expression are at the heart of what we do, this is a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn about and reflect on the women who have shaped culture and history, and who continue to inspire new generations of artists and leaders.

Later this month, students will also have the opportunity to complete the Spring Panorama Student Survey during the school day. This survey allows students to share their perspectives on their school experience, including topics such as school climate, belonging, and engagement. Student voice is incredibly important to us, and the feedback we receive helps guide our decisions as we continue working to strengthen the CAPA community.

Finally, a quick reminder that Friday, March 13 is a half day for all students. Dismissal will occur at the regularly scheduled half-day time.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support of our students and school community. We look forward to a wonderful and inspiring month ahead at CAPA.

Pitt Athletics, in partnership with the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, announced the Pitt Block Party at Arts Landing, a three-day celebration coinciding with Draft week in Pittsburgh, April 23–25.

The event will welcome Pitt fans, football lovers, and the entire community for the first major event at Arts Landing—the Cultural Trust's soon-to-debut four-acre civic space in downtown's Cultural District. 

Programming will include:

• An experiential Pitt Football museum and interactive draft showcase highlighting Panther greats and the program's NFL pipeline

• Live music and entertainment

• Food trucks, beverages, and local vendors

•  Activity zone and more!
