The IHS campuses of Prince George's County use Haiku Learning (PowerSchool) to input student grades rather than SchoolMax because we are competency-based schools.
A competency (skills) scoring system evaluates students on the skills they possess. Students work at their own pace in order to earn course credit.
Our grading system provides more than one score for a student in each class in order to show exactly where a student is succeeding and potentially struggling.
The resources below are meant to explain more about our scoring system and provide tools to help teachers, staff, students, and community members learn more about Haiku Learning.
