Prospective Students

PLTW is a national not-for-profit organization that promotes an increase in the quantity and quality of engineers and engineering technologists graduating from educational systems throughout the United States. The Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Engineering program introduces students to the scope, rigor, and discipline of engineering technology.

Students engage in problem solving, learn and apply the engineering process, and develop vital teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills.

Students may earn credit at PLTW-affiliated colleges and universities nationwide. The award of college credit is based on the student’s score on the end-of-course assessment as well as the student’s grade in the course; other criteria may be established by the partnering university or college.
