Salaries are set in accordance to the negotiated agreement salary schedule set by Prince George’s County Educators’ Association (PGCEA) which includes the salary range based on teaching experience and degree attainment. Effective July 1, 2025, salaries will range from $62K to $131K with generous benefits, tuition reimbursement, relocation assistance of up to $2,500, and more.
Official salary setting will be determined by your assigned Human Resources Partner upon review and submission of the required employment documentation.
When reading the PGCEA Salary Scale, Grade represents the highest degree earned plus additional credits obtained post degree (if applicable). The Step reflects the number of years of verified teaching experience.
It should be noted that the starting salary for all conditional candidates, regardless of educational attainment, will be placed on Table A Grade 2.
Nationally Board Certified? PGCEA also has salary scales for National Board Certified Teachers (NBCT) and for National Board Certified Teachers (NBCT) High Priority schools. National Board Certified teachers in high priority schools earn an additional $22k and 13K to teach at all other schools.
