Welcome to Mrs. Komar's Class!!!!

In this class, all are welcome! We will be using a wide variety of topics and concepts in order to learn real-world skills. We will focus on skills such as critical thinking, data analysis, research skills, reading comprehension, and scientific literacy. We will do a wide variety of activities in order to achieve our goals and learn some science in order to be informed citizens. I can't wait to share this adventure with you!!! About me

Hello!!! My name is Kathryn Komar. Born and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago, IL. Science and kids are my passion! I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's degree in Secondary Education. I have been teaching since the fall of 2010. My husband was studying to get his Ph.D at WVU, causing us to move around a bit. As a result, I have worked in three states (IL, WV, and MD). As luck would have it, I was hired at ERHS in the fall of 2015 and have been there ever since. I am so happy to be here at Eleanor Roosevelt High School and will do my best to help all my kids here!
