Homeless Hotline

Emergency Shelter of Prince Georges County

If you need immediate shelter, contact the the Shelter Homeless Hotline at 1-888-731-0999 by 8:00 AM. Shelter is available on a first-come, first-served basis. You must complete an intake questionnaire and, if placed, arrive at the shelter the same day. Please note that placements are not held.

Minors in Need of Shelter

Child Protective Services

If you are 17 or younger and don’t have a safe place to sleep, help is available right now. Call Child Protective Services at 800-917-7383.

They will connect you with Family Preservation to make sure you have a safe place and the support you need, you do not have to be on the streets.

Day Centers

Essential Community Resources

Day centers provide essential services and a place of dignity for everyone who visits. These centers offer meals, showers, free laundry, employment resources, and more, all in a discreet and respectful environment.

Provides day services, free laundry services, housing assistance, and wellness programs.

The YMCA of Silver Spring

McKinney-Vento Program families can access free showers and resources with a fully paid membership. Email MVP for more information.
