Mrs. Hoskey grew up in Montgomery County, MD and Fairfax County, VA. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from Wesleyan University and received her Masters in Library and Information Science from University of Texas at Austin. She was the Eastham Public Library's first full-time Youth Services Librarian for 10 1/2 years before joining Prince George's County Public Schools, where she has been a library media specialist since 2005.
In her spare time, Mrs. Hoskey likes to read, watch movies or sports, attend plays, visit with friends and family, go for walks, and write. She is also a judge at the regional and state level for the Maryland Poetry Out Loud competition.
Mrs. Hoskey and her husband, a social studies teacher at Fairmont Heights High School, live in College Park. They have one son, Isaac, who used to be a Kenmoor Kavalier but is now in high school!
