All PGCPS students are expected to complete their service-learning hours (SLH) prior to graduating. Students can start earning hours in sixth grade, and there are many opportunities to gain those hours throughout each school year.
By the end of your senior year, you need 24 hours earned through approved community service opportunities.
Work done for an approved non-profit agency, government, nursing home, hospital or licensed daycare center
Times when you've collected food, clothes, or other essential items to meet basic human needs, including work done with a religious organization or church group
Assistance with voter registration or voter education

Any activity done to prepare or participate in a religious service or religious education
