*Art Club - Coordinator: Mr. Henderson; Mrs. Taylor-Styles
Students have the opportunity to learn new art techniques or improve their skill sets. Students will learn by demonstration as well as self-facilitated learning through researching techniques, styles and art history.
*Crochet Club - Coordinator: Ms. Natasha Dainkins
Students will learn the basis of crocheting and even make some items.
*Destination Imagination - Coordinator:
Students are presented with a problem where they must use creative problem solving techniques to solve it in preparation for the local competition.

Male mentoring program - a male empowerment club that supports young males navigating the tween and early teenage years
*Jazz Band - Coordinator: Jill Tobin, Band Director
An ensemble designed to show the students the rich history of Jazz through performance. Emphasis will be placed not just on performance technique but also rudimentary improvisational skills, musicianship, and a sense of personal accountability. Students must be enrolled in GMS band or orchestra.
*Pep Band - Coordinator:
An ensemble of instrumentalists who play at school functions or events with the purpose of entertaining and "pepping" up the crowd. Students must be enrolled in band or orchestra at GMS.
*String Chamber Ensemble - Coordinator: Hannah Moock, hannah.moock@pgcps.org
Students will audition for this small string ensemble to have the opportunity to learn more challenging music.
*GMS Chorus - Coordinator: Mr. Mecca
A chorus of advanced singers will have the opportunity to grow musically. The GMS Chorus will represent the school in county assessments and other activities outside of school.

This group of students will focus on environmental awareness and action.
*National Math Club - Coordinator: Myrna Natividad, myrna.natividad@pgcps.org
This is a national program that gives students the opportunity to engage in mathematics that is fun and different. Members will participate in the Math Meet competition.
*Living Classroom - Coordinator: Manuela Pagunsan, manuela.pagunsan@pgcps.org
Students will participate in the preservation and reservation of the Chesapeake Bay through the Wild Rice Project in partnership with the William S. Schmidt Outdoor Education Center, American Shad Project and the Anacostia Project.
*Strawbridge Challenge - Coordinator: Manuela Pagunsan, manuela.pagunsan@pgcps.org
Students will design and construct a model road bridge made exclusively from soda straws, hot melt glue and plastic tabs. this challenge will develop students ability to problem solve and construct a bridge to sustain weight. Students will participate in a local competition.
*National Junior Honor Society - Coordinator:
NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship and character.
*Robotics - Coordinator:
Students will build remote operated vehicles and participate in the area competitions.
*Yearbook - Co-Coordinators: Tioga Bazemore, tioga.bazemore@pgcps.org & Kira Burke, kira.burke@pgcps.org
Select students will be assisting in creating the lay out for the school yearbook. They will be responsible for taking snapshots of students and activities in the building for consideration for entrance into the yearbook.
*Cheerleading - Coach: Ms. Pamela Jackson; Ms. Kira Burke, kira.burke@pgcps.org
Cheerleaders who make the team via try outs will perform at home basketball games, assemblies and area competitions.
*Step Team - Coordinator: Stephanie Blackwell, stephanie.blackwell@pgcps.org
Students will learn various step routines and perform at events and games.
*Tech/Media Club - Coordinator: Toval Rolston, toval.rolston@pgcps.org
Students will work on a variety of Tech/TV Media projects including but not limited to work for entry in the PGCPS Digital Film Festival.
*Student Government Association - Coordinator: Mrs. Tiyika Adams, tiyika.tongemason@pgcps.org
This student body will meet regularly as the student governing body to develop and present ideas to administration and students for potential implementation.

Students will prepare for various science competitions, including the PGCPS Science Bowl and the National Science Bowl.
