I am the Academic Dean at Overlook Spanish Immersion School. I am from Puerto Rico with eleven years of experience in Educational Administration and supervision. I am very excited and ready to work this year with enthusiasm and dedication.
My vision and Mission as an Academic Dean for SY 2024-25
Vision: The Academic Dean of Overlook Full Spanish Immersion School will foster an environment where all students become bilingual and bi-literate in Spanish, achieving academic excellence through a deep appreciation of multicultural perspectives and respect.
Mission: The Academic Dean at Overlook Full Spanish Immersion School will oversee and enhance a comprehensive PreK-5 Spanish Immersion program that ensures students attain high levels of bilingual proficiency and multicultural competence. This role involves supporting a rigorous instructional framework, facilitating professional development for staff, and promoting an inclusive and effective learning environment for all students.

As Academic Dean, my philosophy focuses on providing the best possible education for our students, with a special emphasis on language learning. I am convinced that the integration of parents, teachers, students, and other members of the school community is essential for achieving success. By working together as a united educational community, we can ensure a rich and effective learning environment that allows our students to reach their full potential.

I created this site during the 2023-24 school year to post information about the immersion curriculum. Also, to help communicate with the parents of our school, I will be holding Drop-In Sessions every Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. to answer your questions about the curriculum and other concerns.
