The Coaches

Head Coach:  Dorian Carter

After cheering at and graduating from Surrattsville High School in 2000, Coach Carter attended college and became a founding member of the James Madison University All-Girl Cheerleading Squad.  Immediately after undergrad, Carter became the Head Coach at DuVal High School for 10 years where she developed a successful cheer program.   In addition, Carter holds numerous certifications:  American Association of Cheerleading Coaches & Administrators (AACCA); National Cheerleaders Association (NCA); National Federation of State High Schools (NFHS); and Maryland High School Cheerleading Association Judge (panel & safety).  She currently teaches Family & Consumer Sciences at CHF.  The 2023-2024 season will be Coach Carter’s 20th year coaching cheerleading and is extremely excited to continue her tenure at Charles H. Flowers High School!  


Assistant Coach:  Brittnee Crouell

This is Coach Brittnee’s 16th year coaching.  She cheered under Coach Carter while attending DuVal High School for four years.  Brittnee graduated from Bowie State University with a degree in Sociology and received her Masters in Social Work from Howard University in 2016.  She currently works as a Social Worker and Therapist.  Coach Brittnee is a great asset to the coaching staff and has a bright coaching future ahead of her.
