Slow the Spread

Taking actions to lower the risk of COVID-19 spread: COVID-19 is mostly spread by respiratory droplets released when people talk, cough, and/or sneeze. It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own eyes, nose, or mouth. Therefore, personal prevention practices (such as wearing a high-quality well-fitting mask (medical, N95, KN95), hand washing and staying home when sick), environmental cleaning, and disinfection are important principles to stop the spread of the virus. Let us all protect ourselves and others by practicing those principles.

The five W's tools to keep ourselves safe:

► Wear a mask.

► Wash your hands.

► Watch your distance.

► When you are sick, stay home.

► When the health department (MDCOVID) calls, answer the phone.
