MISSION: The mission of the English Language Development (ELD) Program (also known as Title III and formerly known as ESOL) is to provide high-quality language instruction and related services to Multilingual Learners (MLs) and their families; to ensure that the rights of MLs are protected and that federal and state regulatory requirements are met; and to ensure MLs are prepared to participate fully in all educational opportunities.

VISION: The ELD program will prepare MLs to effectively use English language skills and academic strategies to participate confidently and successfully as productive citizens in the school community and beyond.
The ELD program provides the English language instruction required of local educational agencies for MLs in K through 12th grade. Students, who are determined to be in sufficient need through language proficiency testing, receive language support from a licensed teacher who has extensive knowledge of second language acquisition using effective strategies for meeting their needs.
