August 2023
School-Based Staff Training
Better Together: Elevating Family School Partnerships
Staff will receive training on best practices for engaging parents to build a stronger relationship between the school and families and to improve student academic achievement. Staff will also be given an overview of the Schoolwide Title I Program inclusive of the School-Parent Compact and Parent & Family Engagement Plan.
August/ September 2023
Title I Annual Meeting
Parents will be given an overview of the Schoolwide Title I program and be provided the opportunity to give input into the annual Title I Budget, School Parent Compact and the Parent & Family Engagement Plan. Time will be allotted to ask questions and give feedback.
November 2023
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Families will meet with their child’s teacher (s) to hear about their child’s academic progress and discuss strategies to help them achieve academic success. Families will also have an opportunity to provide feedback on the School Parent compact.
December 2023
Mustang University Workshop: Parent Expo
Mustang University will train parents in the following areas:
WIDA
Academic Performance/Overview
CTE Programs - How to Register
Student Data Snapshots
Senior Requirement for Graduation
Parents and families will leave strategies to support their scholars at home.
January 2024
Mustang University Workshop:
Goal Setting for New Year
ESOL and Math Strategies
Community Partner
Families will engage in a goal setting activity that can be used at home with their children to plan for the 2nd semester of school.
ESOL and Math strategies will be provided for parents and students to support student achievement in all classes.
Families will also hear from one of our community partners and learn about the available services and resources.

SAT Night
Counselor’s Corner Update & SEL Tips
FAFSA Night
The PSC will explain graduation requirements and ensure that parents understand the 240 points requirement. In addition, the PSC will also provide an overview for SAT testing and study tips.
March 2024
Title I Parent Input Meeting
Parents/Families will have the opportunity to provide input on how to use the parent portion of the Title I Budget to help revise the Parent and Family Engagement Plan for the upcoming school year. The school will collaborate/partner with parents to help review and revise the Parent and Family Engagement Plan and School Parent Compact.

End of Year Celebration for Parents
What happens after high school?
The principal, administrators, and Title I Team will thank the parents for their participation throughout the school year. They will discuss success throughout the year and how to prepare for the following school year.
Community leaders will be invited to share available summer resources to scholars and families.
Parents will get an understanding on the importance of still being involved after high school. We will share all the options students have no matter their legal status whether it is the work-force, college, or the military.
