The 3DE Model

the 3DE Case method

Case methodology is at the core of 3DE’s approach to instruction and is activated though real-world, problem-based scenarios that connect industries, professionals and post-secondary exploration into the four-year high school experience.

It is a teaching approach that uses decision-forcing cases to put students in the current role of people who are faced with difficult decisions. It effectively increases student engagement, strengthens comprehension through application, and builds critical and analytical thinking skills.

3DE Competencies & behavior indicators

Each case challenge or study centers around a competency and behavior indicators that encourage students to think critically and use evidence to guide their decision-making and problem-solving.
