McMinnville, TN | Yogi Golf Course is entering its pre-opening phase and seeks an exceptional Director of Golf / General Manager to serve as the founding operational leader of this distinctive new destination. This role is designed for a builder, culture-setter, and visionary operator—someone energized by launching an organization from the ground up and shaping standards that will endure for decades.
This is a rare opportunity to join a project already under active construction, yet still at the ideal moment to make a lasting imprint. Working directly under the direction of the Founder and in close partnership with ownership, the Director of Golf/General Manager will lead the planning, staffing, commissioning, and opening of Yogi Golf, delivering an outstanding and authentic golf experience to McMinnville and the surrounding communities.
The position is both strategic and deeply hands-on, offering the chance to build the operation, team, and culture from inception.
About Yogi Golf
Conceived by Sadhguru, founder of the Isha Institute of Inner Sciences, Yogi Golf brings together pure golf, nature, and well-being in a single, thoughtfully designed destination. Opening as a semi-private golf course, Yogi Golf will serve the local and regional community while offering a limited number of memberships.
At full buildout, Yogi Golf will feature:
An 18-hole championship golf course designed by Paul Reeves
Practice facilities, including a driving range
A curated pro shop
The Club will operate 7 days per week, year-round, and is developer-owned.

Title: Director of Golf/General Manager
Position Description: The Director of Golf/General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and management of all club operations, including golf, food and beverage, retail, events, staffing, financial performance, and member/guest experience.
The Director of Golf/General Manager serves as the primary liaison between ownership, members, employees, guests, the community, government entities, and the golf industry. This role requires a highly visible leader with exceptional interpersonal presence, operational discipline, and the emotional intelligence to set a tone of gracious hospitality throughout the organization.
The Director of Golf/General Manager will oversee annual operating and capital planning, establish systems and standards, and ensure the successful execution of all pre-opening and post-opening initiatives.

Pre-Opening Phase
Recruit, hire, and develop all department heads and key staff (Golf, Food & Beverage, Culinary, Retail, Operations)
Create SOPs, service standards, and training programs that define the Yogi Golf experience
Collaborate closely with ownership, architects, designers, and consultants during buildout and commissioning
Develop membership operations, policies, and service expectations in partnership with ownership
Lead sequencing and execution of opening milestones, including mock service, soft opening, and grand opening
Establish reporting cadence, financial controls, and departmental accountability systems
Post-Opening
Lead daily operations across all departments with a relentless focus on member and guest experience
Drive excellence in golf operations, food and beverage, service culture, events, and programming
Manage financial performance, budgets, forecasts, and KPIs
Foster a high-accountability, high-kindness culture where team members thrive and grow
Serve as the primary ambassador of Yogi Golf within the local community and golf industry

Experience launching or playing a key role in opening a club, resort, or hospitality venue
