It is recommended that at every level of play, tees and yardages are configured based on players’ ages and abilities. The following recommendations may be used as a guideline.

● Girls 10-11 will play from the TBD1 tees. Boys 10-11 and Girls 12-13 will play from the TBD2 tees. Boys 12-13 and Girls 14+ will play from the TBD3  tees and Boys 14+ will play from the TBD4 tees.

1. TBD Color tees-  approximately 2300 yards

   • PV: *close to* White tee course yardages

   • UR: *close to* Red tee course yardages

2. TBD Color tees - approximately 2550 yards

   • PV: *close to* Green tee course yardages

   • UR: *close to* White Tee course yardages

3. TBD Color tees- approximately 2800 yards

   • PV: *close to* Blue tee course yardages 

   • UR: Green tee course yardages

4. TBD Color tees- (17u only) - approximately 3200 yards

   • UR: approximately Green / Blue Tee course yardages

● As a general rule, the total yardage difference between each set of tee should be between 85%-90%.These differentials will be upheld at all Championship Season events operated by the PGA of America.

● Players may occasionally share teeing areas due to differing golf course layouts, however each of the four locations will always be designated by their specific tee.

• Partner Stroke Play Format - 13u & 17u

  • The 8-player-team is broken into 4 twosomes

  • Each twosome plays nine holes and posts a team score

  • Three of the four best scores per 8-player-team make up your team score

    • Ex: For the Wisconsin PGA All Star Team, Players 1 and 2 shoot 36, Players 3 and 4 shoot 40, Players 5 and 6 shoot 40 and Players 7 and 8 shoot 50. Team Wisconsin PGA records a total of 36+40+40= 116.

  • To break a tie, the fourth team score is counted. If a tie still exists, the aggregate team score starting on Hole 9 will be used, followed by Hole 8, etc. 

• 17u is the same format using 8 player teams broken into 4 twosomes with 3 of the 4 best team scores counting towards a team total. The tiebreaker procedure is the same for 13u and 17u. 

Spectator Carts 

At Pleasant View, spectator carts for those with a written medical exemption and/or ADA form can be purchased in the golf shop for $25 plus tax. At University Ridge, spectator carts are available for purchase on a FCFS basis. The cost is $25. Please be respectful of course policies and note that it is subject to change based on course discretion. 

Practice Facilities

At Pleasant View, the practice facilities will open at 7:30am. At University Ridge, practice facilities 

will open at 1:30pm. 

Food and Beverage

Players are responsible for their own food and beverage costs for the duration of the event. No food is included. This decision was made in an effort to keep the golf event cost free thanks to PGA REACH Wisconsin and the WPGA Junior Foundation. 

Awards

There will be a brief recognition ceremony following the Qualifying Rounds at Pleasant View Golf Course immediately after play.  An awards ceremony for both 17u and 13u will follow play at University Ridge.
