Sandy, UT | Willow Creek Country Club is a private country club nestled against the dramatic Wasatch Mountains, just 30 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City.
It was in 1957 that a visionary group—"The Twenty-Five Associates"—took a chance and purchased 166 acres of rocky, undeveloped stream bed with the idea of developing a first-rate golf course and country club in the then-remote southeast corner of the Salt Lake Valley.
The hard work paid off. Willow Creek Country Club celebrated its 65th birthday in 2022. The founders' vision proved correct: the lush golf course and country club amenities are now prizes much enjoyed by 500 members and have been since the club's inception. Families have now been raised at Willow Creek, and second and third-generation members continue the tradition.
Willow Creek's 7,096-yard course, at the base of the towering Wasatch Mountains, offers spectacular country club golf. Its original design is steeped in tradition that can be traced to American golf architect Donald Ross. This traditional design has produced challenging golf and the course is painstakingly maintained with all the advantages of modern agronomy.
The clubhouse and golf course have evolved and kept pace throughout the years, but one concept remains central: Willow Creek is a lifestyle that continues to enhance the lives of its members, their families, and their guests.
With a thorough understanding of the value of preserving traditions and incorporating modern technology, the course was completely renovated in 2005 under the direction of Damian Pascuzzo. The renovation's objective was to provide the utmost in golfing enjoyment for all levels of play--from junior golf, to all levels of recreational golf, to active ladies' programs, to PGA tournament play.
The club is in the beginning stages of presenting to membership the complete rebuild of the Golf Course Maintenance Complex.
