Valley Hi Country Club
Elk Grove, California
Elk Grove, California
Elk Grove, CA | A treasured history with a commitment to excellence for our future.
Valley Hi Country Club strives to provide the most exceptional private club experience through excellent services, facilities and amenities as your home away from home to belong, gather and celebrate community.
The first ball was struck at VHCC on June 4, 1961 by President, Wendell Pond. Prior to getting to this celebrated day, the founders identified land south of Sacramento and interviewed golf course architects. After much due diligence, the founders retained the services of William “Billy” Francis Bell. Mr. Bell was a familiar name to golfers, having designed nearly 50 layouts. He was former president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects. He designed the courses at the Bermuda Dunes, Tamarisk, in Palm Springs, Torrey Pines near La Jolla, Apple Valley, Hidden Valley near Reno, Emerald Valley at Lake Tahoe, Northridge Country Club in Sacramento and many other municipal links.
Valley Hi Country Club is well known throughout the area for producing top-notch golfers including PGA Tour players, 1st Team All-Americans, and many other celebrated amateur players. VHCC is also known for having one of the most diverse memberships in the valley which has helped promote a family feeling where members get along and pretentiousness doesn’t exist.
Valley Hi has undergone many changes during its lifetime. By far the most ambitious has been the recent implementation of a monthly capital dues structure that will fully finance our $20,000,000+ Capital Reserve Study while also providing funding for strategic improvements along the way.
