Topeka, KS | At The Topeka Country Club (TCC), we have been at the heart of our community since 1905. Our Club’s story began on the beautiful Guilford Dudley Estate, following the vision of our 226 original stockholders. Designed by the esteemed Thomas M. Bendelow and later expanded by legendary Perry Maxwell, our 18-hole golf course has hosted legends such as Bob Hope, Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, and even President Taft.
TCC stands as a testament to tradition and excellence, enriched by over 100 years of history and strengthened by continuous renovations and expansions. As part of the extensive $7.5 million facilities renovation completed in 2019, we've committed to enhancing the member experience with new health and wellness centers, a Tennis Center that was distinguished by Club & Resort Magazine as one of the 50 top-ranked racquet facilities in the nation in 2021, a resort-style pool, expanded dining facilities, and a renovated golf shop.
The historic $4.5 million golf course renovation was completed in 2023 and was led by Kansas-based architect Todd Clark and golf historian Ron Whitten. It was undertaken to modernize and improve the golf course for today’s play while maintaining as much “Maxwell authenticity” as possible. The end result is a course true to its original architecture with improved agronomic conditions and enhanced views of the entire property.
A trip to TCC would not be complete without a visit to the Woodland Room, named for Topeka native and 2019 U.S. Open Champion Gary Woodland. This dining area is the perfect spot for a post-round beverage or casual lunch with friends. Keep up with the latest action on the golf course or our local and regional sports teams on the big screens while you are there.
