Touchstone Golf recently leased the property from the regional park district and is investing over $1 Million dollars in the Driving Range, Golf Shop, Restaurant and more. Touchstone is a recognized leader in the golf course industry, providing comprehensive Management Services to golf course owners. Touchstone recognizes that each golf course property is unique, as are the objectives of the owners of the golf course. Unlike many management companies in the industry, management engagements are customized to address the specific needs of each property, placing emphasis on meeting strategic objectives of the owners. Steve Harker, Touchstone’s CEO and a Class A PGA Professional grew up playing the course with his brother Doug and has an office on property.

Job Structure
Reports to: General Manager
Opportunity: This position is for someone who wants to grow their career and become a Director of Golf or General Manager.
Supervises: Golf Shop Staff, Teaching Professionals, Cart and Range Attendants. Also serves as the manager on duty supporting the General Manager.
The Golf Operations Manager is second in command and leads the operation in concert with the General Manager. This highly visible role requires exceptional professionalism and the capability to deliver a first-class golf experience. The successful candidate must have the skills to create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests and staff, and to work closely with other department heads to ensure the team’s success.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the General Manager in managing the overall operational and fiscal performance of the facility in compliance with Touchstone Golf’s policies and procedures.
Learn how to manage all aspects of Club operations including the relationships between management and local club members, guests, employees and the community.
Provide inspirational leadership, direction, supervision, and guidance to all staff members in accord with Touchstone’s culture and mission statement to provide positive employee morale and performance standards.
Work in conjunction with the General Manager to develop and implement operational, marketing and business plans and strategies.
Meet weekly with Director of Sales and/or Tournament Sales Manager and Operations Manager to give direction of calls and gain additional knowledge of current market.
Establish and administer service and operational standards as well as quality performance guidelines for all operating functions and staff.
Ensure execution of business plan and membership recruitment and retention strategies.
In the absence of the General Manager this position will oversee and direct all key department operations to include: Agronomy, Golf Operations, Food and Beverage, Range & Cart Operations, Membership Sales and Marketing.
Ensure proper accounting procedures including cash handling.
Ensure the quality of the guest service activities in all departments. Formulate general plans and oversee their implementation towards achieving service excellence.
Ensure the club’s assets, including facilities and equipment, are properly maintained and secured.
Direct activities to optimize profit while meeting market position (experience) goals.
Effectively communicate with staff, ownership, vendors and management organization in a timely manner. This includes voicemail and email.
Ensure all safety training and protocols are in place.
Work with the GM to understand labor management in all departments by reviewing weekly schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels to obtain customer service standards and job efficiencies.
Promote and follows all current and future company and course policies and rules.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Physical Demands:
·Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk and crouch.
·Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Certifications
Must be Class A PGA membership or PGA Associate in good standing
Minimum of three years of experience in golf operations is preferred
Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year university or college is preferred

$64,000 Annual Salary
Performance bonus based upon mutually agreed upon standards with a potential of $4,000 to 6,000 Annually
