Milledgeville, GA | Ted & and Joni Smith, local business owners and philanthropists bought the beleaguered but historic Milledgeville Country Club in 2016. After nearly 2 years of renovation and a $5MM investment, The Club at Lake Sinclair was opened in January of 2018. Since then, the Club's membership has more than tripled. The Club at Lake Sinclair enjoys a vibrant membership of more than 600 members; we are home to the Award-Winning restaurant “Aubri Lanes at the Club” and boast a variety of upscale resort-style amenities to complement our George Cobb designed Golf Course.
David Franklin, PGA is retiring after more than 30 years of faithful service. It is our goal to find the next long-term Golf Professional to become part of our family. The Club at Lake Sinclair offers a competitive salary, commissions and a benefit package that includes Club paid Medical and achievable bonus potential.
Milledgeville has a small-town sense of community. Once the Capital of Georgia, our historic town is home to Georgia College & State University as well as Georgia Military Prep School and College. Our area is quickly becoming a vibrant 55+ lake community. We enjoy above-average community services, low property tax and insurance rates and our cost-of-living index is 75 compared to a national average of 100. If stability and quality of life are important to you and your family, we would like you to visit.
The Head Golf Professional is genuinely the “Ambassador of Golf” of the Club. They must embody the highest levels of integrity, professionalism, and diplomacy and be a highly active, engaged, and visible presence with both members and staff. He or she will be "the leader" who takes ownership of the operation. The ideal candidate has a true servant’s heart. While building relationships with every constituency within the Club’s membership, the Head Golf Professional is someone who needs to have his or her finger on the pulse of the membership and an understanding of the family values that exist at our Club. The successful candidate will promote an exceptional golf experience and provide creative services and programs for all members and guests.
