Owner Storied Management LLC – an affiliate of Storied Development, LLC, an established development, marketing, and sales organization with private club communities throughout the continental U.S. is seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to compliment the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional for this luxury, private residential, mountain golf, and ski community.
The Ideal candidate will work closely with the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional to assist in just about all areas of the Golf Operation. Which includes but is not limited to member events, instruction programming, weekly events, merchandising, and coaching/leading members of the Professional Golf Staff team. This candidate will work in sync with the golf team and other departments. This candidate will follow the speed and direction of the Director of Golf.

Annual Golf Revenue - $1,805,000 Including $700,000 in Retail
Number of Employees – 25-35 (Full/Part-Time) staff in Golf Operations
Golf Rounds annually – 12,000 to 13,500

Number of golf holes – 18 holes, plus a NEW 9-hole, par-three course (to be completed in mid-summer of 2024)

Annual Dues - $20,845 per member
Initiation Fee - $150,000 (required as part of property purchase price, mandatory membership with property)

POSITION OVERVIEW
Position Type: Full Time | Golf Season May - October | Winter Ski Operations December - April
General Purpose:
The Ideal candidate will work closely with the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional to assist in just about all areas of the Golf Operation. Which includes but is not limited to member events, instruction programming, weekly events, merchandising, and coaching/leading members of the Professional Golf Staff team. This candidate will work in sync with the golf team and other departments. This candidate will follow the speed and direction of the Director of Golf.
Golf Season: May-October.
This position will also assist with the management of the daily ski lounge operations.
Winter Season: December -April.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
As an Assistant Golf Professional, you are a key member of the golf operations team, managing all golf and golf-related activities for the Club.
Professionally conduct oneself and always maintain a professional image at all times.
Coordinate the daily golf shop and outside service operations professionally and efficiently under the oversight of the Director of Golf.
Trains new Pro Shop and Outside Services personnel.
Provide excellent customer service, professional advice and assistance to all members and guests.
Monitor member and guest experiences and take appropriate action to assure the best service and standards are upheld as outlined by the Club.
Coordinate and administer the daily work schedule of the Outside Service staff.
Assist in managing tournaments and outings including responsibility for “day of” execution.
Provide golf instruction and clinics that are consistent with agreed upon instructional methods, policies, and procedures.
As scheduling permits, assist with the teaching, coaching, and mentoring of the Junior / Ladies golf program.
Provide private instruction on a scheduled basis as approved by the Director of Golf.
Together with the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional promote the Men’s and Ladies’ League development to assure continued success.
Coordinate and communicate with the Golf Course Superintendent and his personnel as needed.
Assist with purchasing, receipt, inventory control, promotion and sales of merchandise.
Assist with coordination of club fitting and repairs.
Manage the golf fleet program and track repair needs.
Assist in planning and budgeting for the golf operations as needed.
Cooperate with the food and beverage department for F&B needs for tournaments and other events as requested.
Strive to increase play in all areas.
Be informed of and promote all club activities and services.
Assist with processing member and guest play.
Assist in coordination of group, and tournament play as directed by the Director of Golf Operations.
Produce daily reports related to rounds, sales, etc. for management.
Works closely with the Outside Service to monitor all aspects of play including starting, monitoring pace of play, safety on the course and golf course markings.
Assists in reconciliation of accounts receivable charges in POS system at the closing of the day.
This position requires availability on weekends, holidays and evenings.
Simulator coordination including possible leagues and lessons.
Assist the members with the ski equipment retrieval process by creating a lasting first impression that is welcoming, informative, and time sensitive.
Help manage the ski storage program.
Coordinate and administer the daily work schedule of the ski lounge personnel and ensure proper and ongoing training is provided.
Coach and counsel personnel in a timely manner as needed.
Assure that skis are property stored for accuracy and easy retrieval.
Adhere to Club logistics and provide timely and accurate placement and retrieval of member equipment.
Respond to inquiries with accurate information regarding hours of operation, directions for loading and unloading on chairlift(s) and if requested, and general mountain information according to individual needs.
Manage retail space and assist with inventory count as advised.
Manage the daily tasks according to the Club Standards, and those set forth by the Director of Golf.
Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, language, and ethics in dealing both with guests, co-workers and subordinates.
Anticipate members’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all members and guests despite how busy or the time of day.
Handle confidential information, including member records, with a high degree of integrity.
Maintain all ski storage and retail areas and member locker room areas.
Ensure good safety practices of employees and members and proper emergency and safety procedures are followed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
