Cornwall, NY | Storm King Golf Club is unlike anything you’ve ever played. It’s a private, 63-acre golf sanctuary in Cornwall, New York—just 56 miles from New York City and surrounded by the majestic views of Storm King Mountain and the Catskills. It’s a place where thoughtful architecture, purpose-driven design, and modern sustainability come together to create something entirely new: Golf Re-imagined™. The golf course is expected to open fully in October 2026.
With five distinct nine-hole routings, 225,000 square feet of greens (including one quad green, two triple, three double, and four single greens), and 40 multi-directional tee locations, Storm King is more than a course—it’s a configurable golf experience with over 50 unique golf holes. Overlayed on top of it all is a 19-hole par-3 layout for shorter, sharper play or a fun challenge with friends. Storm King is introducing a 12-hole driveable par-4 layout and a 9-hole par-5 layout. Everything great about golf is at Storm King.

Two par three routings - one with 19 holes under 130 and one with 13 holes using 13 very different golf shots.
In addition, there are two well-defined 18-hole routings for contiguous tournament stroke play, both rated by the Metropolitan Golf Association.

Title: Director of Golf
Reports to: Owner
Supervises: Golf Course Superintendent
Position Description: The Director of Golf will help carry out the vision of ownership - Golf Re-imagined™. This exciting opportunity will include the ability to build out a team needed to deliver the service expectations of members and guests, and the hosting of world-class events. The successful candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, an inclusive focus, and a willingness and desire to rethink how golf can be best experienced.

Visionary ambassador of the world's most unique and inclusive golf operation
Provide an elite experience for members, guests, and events
Organize and deliver outstanding events
Staff recruitment, development, and leadership
Supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent
Partner with the Director of Sales and Marketing in membership sales and recruitment of Members who believe in the mission on which Storm King was created.
Represent Storm King at industry conferences, events, and functions
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skill/Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to hire, supervise, and train staff to club standards.
Creativity to imagine how Storm King can be consumed by golfers of all abilities.
Strong knowledge of golf operations, tournament management, and equipment maintenance.
Financial acumen to manage budgets, payroll, and operational expenses.
Education and Experience:
Proven experience as a Head Golf Professional/Director of Golf with team leadership preferred.
Visionary, creative thinker capable of thinking "outside the box."
Experience in organizing and managing golf tournaments and special events.
PGA Member in good standing with enhanced Specialized, Certified, or Master Professionals preferred.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The club will provide a compensation and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications. This includes but is not limited to:
Competitive Base Salary
Bonus Potential
Excellent Benefit Package
The total compensation package will be in the range of $200,000-$220,000
