Stevens Point, WI | Stevens Point Country Club is a private country club with an 18-hole golf course, restaurant, and banquet facility located in central Wisconsin. Members enjoy pristine playing conditions, plus swimming, tennis, and year-round social events. A variety of memberships are available, including golf, pool, and social. Established in 1925, Stevens Point Country Club has been a strong pillar in the community for over 100 years.
GOLF
Stevens Point Country Club offers an 18-hole, top-rated, unique, and challenging golfing experience. Redesigned by Haltom-Oliphant Golf in 2016, the golf course has new bold features that reveal the natural beauty of the property. The redesign included new bunkers, tees, widening of fairways, and the restoration of our natural sandy areas.
DINING
There are two dining areas at the Stevens Point Country Club. The first-floor restaurant has a polished casual feel of a higher end restaurant. The lower-level restaurant, the Tee Room, is a more casual setting for golfers coming off the course or anyone to enjoy. Both restaurants have quality food with friendly and professional staff and fully stocked bars.
AMENITIES
Stevens Point Country Club has a newer pool facility with showers, large seating areas, changing rooms, lockers and an outdoor bar. The pool and kiddie pool are heated and open to members from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. Next to the pool are two tennis/pickleball courts.
Stevens Point Country Club has three golf simulators for all SPCC members and guests. They provide the opportunity to practice, play, take lessons or get fitted for golf clubs year-round. The golf simulators are open 7 days a week in the off-season with the Tee Room bar steps away.
EVENTS
Stevens Point Country Club hosts many events and weddings for both members and non-members throughout the year. The Club has a variety of spaces from private meeting rooms to larger banquet spaces, and can accommodate groups up to 200 guests.

Title: General Manager
Reports to: Board of Directors
Supervises: All club department heads, including but not limited to Head Golf Professional, Head Golf Course Superintendent, and Events Director
Position Description: The General Manager is responsible for overseeing and providing direction in all management aspects of the club, including golf operations, course maintenance, customer service, sales and marketing, food and beverage, member events, accounting/budgeting, and human resources.
KEY ATTRIBUTES
Active and Engaged Leadership: The General Manager should be visible to both members and staff throughout all areas of the club. Active involvement and presence across all departments will help establish trust and accountability. They should be a relatable and reliable leader, balancing approachability with firmness when needed.
Cultural Fit and Professionalism: The General Manager must respect and embrace the culture of the club while demonstrating professionalism in staff and member relations. They should evaluate current operations carefully, explain reasons for changes, and build alignment before implementing new initiatives.
Staff Development & Conflict Management: Strong leadership includes mentoring, staff development, and the ability to resolve staff and member conflicts constructively. The General Manager should foster a culture of accountability and help staff grow into strong leaders in their respective areas.
Business Acumen & Discipline: Members expect the General Manager to run the club like a business, adhering to rules and systems while simultaneously enhancing the membership experience. They should balance firmness with diplomacy when making tough or unpopular decisions.
Personality & Interpersonal Skills: A friendly, welcoming, and approachable demeanor is essential. The General Manager should be a calm listener, able to earn the trust of staff and members while bringing energy and warmth to daily interactions.
Country Club Experience: Prior experience managing private country clubs of similar size is preferred. The General Manager must take ownership of their role, pride in providing an excellent member product, and be comfortable guiding both seasoned and younger staff.
Decision-Making & Fairness: The ability to make choices in the present that support long-term goals is key. The General Manager should act diplomatically, avoid favoritism, and exercise good judgment in knowing when to step in versus when to let staff lead.
Maintains positive and productive relationships between the members, the staff, and the community.
Sets an elite level of service standards and provides an outstanding member and guest experience across all key club functions, golf, food and beverage, pool, tennis, and outside events.
Develops operating policies and procedures and delegates goals to department leaders
Implements and monitors the budget, monitors the quality of the club’s products and services.
Guides and assists the club in the development of the club’s long-and short-range objectives, goals, policies, and programs with a focus on maintaining the club’s membership.
Including, but not limited to, the following:
Minimum three years of management experience at a country club, preferably private, or significant management experience in a resort or high-end hospitality industry setting.
Knowledge of accounting and financial management principles, including systems of accounts, financial analysis, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, capital projects, business office organization, and long-range financial planning.
Developing strategies and leading a successful team in membership enrollment and retention.
Human Resource management skills in team member relations, management styles, organizational development, work/family balance, time management, stress management, and labor issues.
Candidates who have achieved the Certified Club Manager (CCM), Master PGA Professional, and/or PGA Certification in Executive Management status are strongly encouraged to apply.
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
