As our members drive up the winding driveway to Silver Spring, they feel as though they have left the outside world behind. A beautiful private setting with state-of-the-art facilities and unmatched services and amenities. Silver Spring Country Club is a club for all seasons. The original clubhouse was a small building designed by Roger Bullard, but over the years it has been expanded and updated to become a modernized facility, though it still adheres to its original charm.
The golf course was designed by Robert White and Charles Banks. Golf Course Architect, Brian Schneider, a partner with Renaissance Golf Design, has been retained to develop a complete Golf Course Master Plan to include the practice facilities. In addition, a state of the art golf simulator has been added as part of a significant capital plan project.

Job Summary: Responsible for the management of all aspects of play at the club and the golf shop operations including all club events, nonclub events, instructional programs, the management of and the development of the golf operations budget, the recruitment and training of inside and outside staff, golf car fleet maintenance and the ownership of the golf shop merchandising program.
Provide the best most consistent member and guest experience daily.
Plans, promotes and directs all golf activities from tournaments to golf lessons.
Hires, supervises, trains and evaluates Assistant Professionals and all Golf Service personnel.
Creates, administers and oversees all player development programs in all membership categories from juniors to seniors. Always looking to take to a new level.
Maintains the golf shop with quality merchandise that is displayed in a professional manner.
Prepares annual operating and capital budgets for the golf operations.
Communicate with the Property Manager on maintenance issues that affect the golf course, start times of daily play and long term projects.
Meet regularly with the General Manger to discuss club issues.
Enforcement of all club rules and policies.
Establishes and manages both the men's and women’s prize funds throughout the season.
Maintains, inventories and orders all supplies associated with the golf operation.
Responsible for orderly management of the first tee and appropriate golf course rangering.
Oversee the billing of all club charges that are golf related.
Organize a club tournament calendar that averages 100 scored events.
Continue to evaluate and examine all events and make suggestions to the Golf Committee for improvements.
Plan and execute all club tournaments in a professional manner from advertising the event to posting member credit.
Oversee the club's practice facilities and ensure they are always presented in a professional manner.
Maintain a relationship with the golf cart vendor to ensure the fleet is managed.
Attend meetings of the Golf Committee, Men's Golf Committee and Ladies Golf Committee and other committees of interest for all things related to the golf operation.
Attends all staff, management and other applicable meetings throughout the year.
Administers and maintains the GHIN handicap system which includes handicap additions, maintaining the attrition and the billing.
Works in conjunction with the club's Communication Director to ensure the website, club golf calendar and promotion of all events are seamless.
Works closely with the Golf Service Manager daily to ensure a great member experience, club charges are being processed, play records are as accurate as possible and the Bag Room is being run efficiently.
0versee the club's simulator room during the season as well as the off season.
Oversee all staff schedules and balance the member experience and labor costs.
Oversee the biweekly payroll and report to the club Controller.
Assist in the development of short and long range plans for the club.
Interprets and enforces golf rules and regulations according to local and USGA rules of Golf.
Maintains a relationship with industry leaders from vendors to PGM Schools.
Provide membership with club fitting, demo day opportunities and basic club repair inhouse.
Coordinate all High School Golf play.
Maintain a relationship with CSGA, MGA and the Met PGA.
Play with all skill levels of the membership when time permits.
Stay current with CPR and First Aid certification.
