ABOUT SHADOW GLEN GOLF CLUB
Olathe, KS | Welcome to Shadow Glen, where excellence in golf meets an unparalleled lifestyle. As one of the Midwest's premier private golf clubs, Shadow Glen is dedicated to offering its valued members and guests a superlative experience marked by exceptional service and performance, all delivered with an unassuming grace.
At Shadow Glen, we pride ourselves on exceeding expectations, creating a haven for those who share our passion for golf, value their privacy, and cherish the camaraderie of like-minded friends. Join us on this journey towards becoming the ultimate golf club destination.
The Golf Experience
At Shadow Glen, we've crafted an exceptional golfing experience that seamlessly merges the high standards of dedicated golfers with the natural beauty of our rolling, wooded terrain. Our course, designed by the unique team of Tom Watson, Tom Weiskopf, and Jay Morrish, wraps itself gracefully around hills and bluffs, as if it has always belonged here.
We've enhanced the natural contours of the land, sculpting a unique player's course featuring zoysia fairways, bluegrass roughs, and impeccable A1/A4 bent grass greens. This traditional course design challenges even the most accomplished golfers while rewarding players of all skill levels for their good shot-making.
From the back tees, Shadow Glen spans 7,051 yards and boasts a par 72. With a choice of four teeing areas, golfers can tailor their experience to match their skill level. As Golf Digest noted in its January 1990 review, "Shadow Glen flows gracefully along rocky ridges and through tree-lined valleys...some of the finest golfing ground in the entire Midwest. There's not a single harsh feature at Shadow Glen."
But Shadow Glen isn't just about the course. We offer the best practice facilities in a several-state area. Our expansive practice area allows for full shots, chipping, and putting, and includes dedicated areas for bunker and wedge practice, as well as an immaculate putting green.
The Shadow Glen Learning Center
Completed in 2014, The Learning Center offers members the opportunity to practice and receive instruction year-round. This heated amenity provides:
Four Spots: Ample space for members to practice their swings and refine their skills.
Flight Scope Technology: Cutting-edge technology to analyze and improve your game.
Multiple Big Screen Televisions: Stay up to date on the latest golf news or catch your favorite tournaments.
Fitting Area: Ensure your equipment is tailored to your game for optimal performance.
Our outstanding course design has garnered national recognition, earning the title of Best New Private Course by Golf Digest in 1990, and inclusion in the prestigious "America's Greatest 100" courses in 1995. We've consistently ranked in the Top 5 Courses in Kansas since our inception, currently holding the #3 spot. In Golf Digest's March 2000 issue, Hole #13 was selected as one of America's best 18 holes.
The Clubhouse
In an endeavor to preserve the timeless charm of our original Midwestern architecture while elevating the experience for our valued members and optimizing functionality for our dedicated staff, we embarked on an ambitious renovation project. The result is a clubhouse that not only complements our world-class golf environment but also enhances every visit to Shadow Glen.
Our clubhouse's exterior is a testament to meticulous craftsmanship, as it is adorned with native stone meticulously handpicked and expertly shaped by skilled artisans. Stepping inside, you'll discover a sophisticated masterpiece where modern amenities harmonize seamlessly with classic design elements. The interior boasts a striking stone waterfall feature, soaring vaulted ceilings adorned with beautiful beams, skylights that bathe the space in natural light, and an abundance of windows offering breathtaking panoramic views of the lush course, tranquil lake, and the majestic surrounding bluffs.
Join us in celebrating this remarkable transformation, where tradition meets innovation, and the beauty of our surroundings is preserved for generations to come.
