The Rally in the Valley

at SWEETENS COVE

Tuesday, September 26, 2023

 hosted by Scott Stallings

Join PGA TOUR member Scott Stallings and the Tennessee Golf Foundation as we rally friends of Tennessee golf for an unforgettable day in the Sequatchie Valley at the world famous Sweetens Cove Golf Club to benefit junior golf in Tennessee.

The day will be filled with unforgettable golf, great friends, gifts, food and of course... whiskey!

If whiskey was meant to be enjoyed "neat", golf was meant to be played and consumed the way it is at Sweetens Cove. The course has one main rule - have fun. And that rule is pretty easy to follow as you navigate the contours of the 21st ranked best course you can play in the USA according to Golfweek.

The fun doesn't end with the conclusion of your round. The newly built "heckle deck" that overlooks the 9th green and the 20,000-square-foot Honey Barrel putting green extend the magic of the day after you've holed your final putt.

At Sweetens Cove, just like at the TN Golf Foundation, everyone is family. We hope you'll join us as we rally the family together down in the valley on Sept. 26th to support and celebrate junior golf in Tennessee.

Scott Stallings embodies the spirit of Tennessee golf. Stallings grew up in Oak Ridge, TN playing on the TN Golf Foundation's junior golf tour before moving on to play collegiately at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville. After college he turned professional and has had quite the memorable ride on the PGA TOUR the past 10+ years including three victories.

In 2012, Scott partnered with the TN Golf Foundation to create the TN Junior Cup - a Ryder Cup style event that pits the best players from East TN vs. the best players from West TN. The tournament has turned into one of the grandest junior golf events in the entire country. But Scott didn't stop there.

In 2018, Scott and the Foundation launched the Scott Stallings Kids Play Free Junior Golf Initiative. The program provides unlimited, free rounds of golf at multiple golf courses to kids in Tennessee. Since its inception in 2018, the program has provided over 35,000 free rounds of golf to kids in Tennessee!

In addition to the Kids Play Free program and Junior Cup, the TN Golf Foundation operates the First Tee of Tennessee, the Sneds Tour (one of the largest junior golf tour's in the Southeast), the TN Middle School Golf Association, The Little Course at Conner Lane, Beverly Park Par 3 Golf Course, Concord Park Par 3 Golf Course and so much more!

The Tennessee Golf Foundation is the 501 (c)(3) charitable affiliate of the Tennessee Section PGA and Tennessee Golf Association. Founded in 1990, the vision of the TGF is to impact youth and the disadvantaged through the game of golf.
