The PGA of America National Committee system is a vital cog in the governance of the PGA of America. Constant feedback and input from our PGA Members in the field provide our Board of Directors a greater understanding on the needs or our PGA Professionals on a regional basis and how to best serve PGA Professionals around the world. Your PGA of America Officers are seeking interested candidates to serve on the National PGA of America committee's for the next two-four years.
Chairperson: Leads meetings, define's meeting agenda, liase with the Board
Vice Chairperson: Serves as leader in the Chair's absence, Record minutes
Committee Members - Regionally selected, cross section of roles and experience
High ethical standards
Willingness to share opinions openly with colleagues.
Makes a serious commitment to participate actively in committee work.
Familiarity with best management practices.
Attention to deadlines.
Experience on a volunteer board or committee such as a civic association, PTA, homeowners’ association, etc. preferred.
Strategic thinking.
Marketing or customer research background is a plus.
Familiar with Roberts Rules of Order
Role of Committee Member:
Understand the nature and scope of work assigned by the PGA Board of Directors.
Learn committee objectives and goals.
Attend and actively participate in all scheduled committee meetings and conference calls.
Offer unbiased recommendations and work for the good of the organization and membership.
Respond to communications from chair and staff liaison in a timely manner.
Provide input to PGA staff and committee leadership upon request.
Review supplied materials for discussion (if any) prior to meetings or conference calls.
Seek guidance and direction from committee chair.
Report to committee chair.
PGA of America Member
High Chapter, Section, National engagement
Participate in 6-12 conference call/meetings a year (one or two in person) that last 60-120 minutes.
2 – 4 years. November to October
Be available for other in person events as determined.

Player Engagement - PGA Junior League, Summit, Teaching and Coaching, Junior Player Engagement, Adult Player Engagement
