Modified Alternate Shot
An adult and junior will each hit a tee shot. The team will select the best tee shot and play alternate shot from there, until the ball is holed. If an adult’s tee shot is selected, a junior must hit the next shot. If a junior’s tee shot is selected, an adult must hit the next shot.
Teams with more than two players may substitute team members during play of a hole. Example: a team of 3 (1 adult and 2 juniors) must have the adult playing at all times, but the team may change which junior plays at any time. Adult A and Junior A each tee off. They select Adult A’s ball and Junior B hits the approach shot to the green. Adult A hits the third shot from the putting green. Junior B holes out the next shot and the team records a 4.
Teams of 4 with two adults and two juniors will split into two pairs, playing in separate groups. Each pair will be eligible to win the championship and a separate prize will be given for the 4-player team with the lowest combined pair score. Changes to the pairs on four-player teams are not permitted.
Courses
All teams will play both the Mountain and Dunes courses for the competition.
