The Head Golf Professional is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall direction and success of the Club’s golf operation, including the golf shop, tournaments, instruction, player development, outside services, and caddie program. This individual will be a visible presence, trusted leader, and ambassador of the Club’s golf culture, delivering a best-in-class experience for a multi-generational membership.
The Club seeks a highly regarded private-club professional with a proven ability to lead people, elevate service standards, and build strong member relationships. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished player and instructor, a strong mentor of PGA professionals, and an approachable, emotionally intelligent communicator. Experience in a traditional, family-oriented private club environment is strongly preferred, along with a collaborative leadership style and passion for excellence.
The ideal candidate should be a Class “A” PGA Professional in good standing (or actively pursuing Class “A” status) with a demonstrated commitment to engagement within the MET PGA Section and the broader golf community. Candidates should bring meaningful leadership experience in a high-quality private club environment, either as a Head Professional or senior/lead Assistant, along with a proven ability to manage a best-in-class golf operation. Strong business acumen, particularly in golf shop merchandising and financial oversight, is essential, as are exceptional written and verbal communication skills and a reputation for integrity, professionalism, and developing high-performing teams.
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and is expected to range from $300,000–$450,000, with flexibility for the right candidate. The overall package will include a competitive base salary, golf shop concession ownership, 100% of lesson income, a performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits program.
