Northmoor features 27 holes of championship golf, with portions of the current Red, White, and Blue nine's containing holes designed by Donald Ross who designed the original 18 holes at the club. The White nine was completly renovated by Tyler Rae in 2022 and has received rave reviews from members and guests. The Club's exceptional racquet sports program features ten tennis courts, indoor golf/teaching facilities, four paddle tennis courts, and four pickleball courts. Additionally, Northmoor has a Junior Olympic-sized pool with lap and general swimming, a family-friendly shallow swimming area, an outdoor hot tub, and plenty of lounge chairs and daybeds. Title: Head Golf Professional
Reports to: General Manager
Position Description: Manages, supervises, and oversees the club’s entire golf operation to provide the highest standards of service excellence for member and guest enjoyment. Plans and coordinates a golf program that is respected and enjoyed by the membership. Manages the Golf Pro Shop and related services to meet the needs of the members in a manner consistent with the club’s mission and philosophy. Ensures proper communication between departments, maintains excellent relationships with suppliers, and keeps members satisfied and well-informed.

Member Relationships & Trust: The first year should focus on developing genuine relationships and earning the confidence of members. A visible, consistent presence around the Club will reinforce accessibility and approachability.
Operational Consistency: Day-to-day golf operations should be seamless, well-organized, and dependable. The professional must ensure efficiency in tee times, tournament management, and golf shop operations.
Staff Alignment & Morale: The Head Professional should establish a positive workplace culture built on clear communication and mutual respect. Recognizing achievements and providing consistent feedback will promote unity and morale.
Instructional Growth: A revitalized teaching program that attracts juniors, women, and all skill levels will be a marker of success. The goal is to build a structured and inclusive approach that grows participation and engagement.
Event Excellence: The professional should refresh the tournament calendar and execute events that reflect the Club’s high standards. Well-organized, fun, and professional events will reinforce the golf program’s reputation.
Oversee all aspects of the golf operation, including staff management, member services, tournaments, caddie program, and retail.
Deliver exceptional member and guest service, setting the tone for professionalism and hospitality across the golf program.
Attract, hire, lead, train, develop, and mentor the golf professional staff, outside service team, and shop attendants to ensure operational excellence and exceptional service.
Plan, promote, and execute the annual calendar of tournaments, leagues, and member golf events.
Collaborate with the Greens Superintendent to maintain superior course conditions, set-ups, and pace of play.
Manage daily golf operations, including tee sheet administration, pace of play, and member communication.
Operate a profitable, well-merchandised golf shop consistent with club brand standards and member preferences.
Provide golf instruction and player development programs for all ages and skill levels, including private lessons, clinics, and junior golf.
Partner with Club Management and F&B teams to ensure seamless execution of tournaments, outings, and special events.
Develop and manage the golf operations budget, monitor financial performance, and support long-term strategic planning.

Prior experience in all facets of golf operations, including inventory and financial control; employee motivation and training; golf instruction; tournament and event management; working knowledge of golf course maintenance.
Expertise in the rules of golf.
Good working knowledge of golf course maintenance.
Knowledge of marketing, financial management, and retail operations.
Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
Knowledge of and ability to perform the required role during emergency situations.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Must have a minimum of five years of experience as a Director of Golf, Head Professional, or an Assistant Golf Professional at a recognized golf club.
Licenses and Special Requirements
Class A member in good standing with the PGA of America.
Specialized, Certified, or Master Professional enhanced educational designations are preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment that is typical of this position.
Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.

The club will provide a competitive compensation and benefits package which includes but is not limited to:

The total package will be commensurate with experience and qualifications with a minimum total compensation of $225,000.
