“Impacting Lives Through Golf”- The mission of the NCPGA Foundation (the 501(c)(3) charitable arm of the Northern California PGA) is three-fold:
To serve Veterans - their health and their families
To provide resources to PGA Members serving their communities in Northern California and Northwestern Nevada
To grow the game of golf
The Director leads the programming and giving activities of the Foundation; drives the Foundation’s Strategic Plan as approved by the Board of Directors; develops and executes the annual Business Plan supported by the approved budget, setting forth long and short-term business objectives; oversees the staff & financial assets of the Foundation; solicits and secures donors, grantors and sponsors; directs communications with NCPGA members, Foundation donors and the Northern California community.
The Director will also have a working knowledge of the NCPGA Section activities for the full breadth of the Northern California Section of the PGA of America.

Reports to: NCPGA Executive Director /Chairman of the Board & NCPGA Foundation Board of Directors

Leadership & Management:
Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation, and consistent quality of finance and administration, fundraising, communications, and systems; recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals.
Actively engage and energize NCPGA Section Members & NCPGA Foundation volunteers, board members, event committees, alumni, partnering organizations, and funders.
Develop, maintain, and support a strong Board of Directors; serve as ex officio of each committee; seek and build board involvement with strategic direction for both ongoing local operations and integration of PGA REACH
Lead, coach, develop, and retain the NCPGA Foundation's high-performance team,
Ensure effective systems to track scaling progress and regularly evaluate program components, so as to measure successes that can be effectively communicated to the board, funders, and other constituents.
Fundraising & Communication:
Expand revenue-generating and fundraising activities to support existing & new program operations
Deepen and refine all aspects of communications—from web presence to NCPGA Member communications to external relations with the goal of creating a stronger brand for PGA HOPE NC & the NCPGA Foundation
Use external presence and relationships to garner new opportunities
Planning & Donor Development:
Evaluate the possible expansion to include all three pillars of PGA REACH; if determined to move forward, complete the strategic business planning process for the addition of the Youth & Diversity pillars, and rebrand to NCPGA REACH
Build partnerships in the new pillar areas, establishing relationships with the funders, political leaders, and community leaders.
Be an external presence that publishes and communicates program results with an emphasis on the successes of the local program in support of national PGA REACH goals.
The Director will be thoroughly committed to the NCPGA Foundation's mission. Specific requirements include:
Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business, communications, or a related field (preferred).
Highly developed strategic thinking and execution skills that allow him/her to successfully lead and manage projects, groups, or organizations to achieve desired results
Demonstrated success in fundraising with a proven track record of expanding an organization’s donor base through collaborative relationship-building
Superior relationship-building and interpersonal skills, which enable rapport-building with internal and external stakeholders. Preferred: broad networks of relationships in Northern California
Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation
Past success working with a Board of Directors, with the ability to cultivate existing board member relationships
Experience with donor management software
Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills
Military experience/knowledge is desirable
Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to business planning
Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
Knowledge of the NCPGA Section and the PGA of America is desirable

This is a full-time, exempt position.
Annual salary range will be $75,000-85,000 based on experience and qualifications
Year-end bonus is based upon performance criteria
