NCCGA will be moving to a year-round schedule in Fall 2025 to better accommodate the climate differences across the country. The competition year includes Fall 2025 and Spring 2026, culminating in a single National Championship in late April 2026.
Each region will have four Regional Events scheduled during the school year. Regions where spring weather poses a challenge will have their events scheduled during the fall. All Regional Events will be completed by the end of March 2026.
Nationals rankings will be based on the two best scores from the Regional Events throughout the competition year. Scores from National Championship Qualifiers and the NCCGA Pinehurst Open do not count towards national rankings.
Dues will be paid on an annual basis ($695). In order for a “B” team to be eligible for elevated events, full dues must be paid. Elevated events include National Championship Qualifiers, the NCCGA Pinehurst Open and the NCCGA National Championship.
Players who graduate and are no longer full-time students after January 1, 2026, are not eligible to compete in any NCCGA events after that date.
Opportunities will be expanded for direct qualification into the National Championship. There will be 10-12 qualifiers hosted across the country.
Each Region will be assigned to a specific National Qualifier. Teams from those Regions will have priority entry into their assigned event. Teams from other regions can fill any remaining space in the event. Teams will be limited to participation in one National Qualifier during the competition year.
The top two teams from each National Qualifier, along with the individual medalist, will gain automatic bids to the National Championship. If a qualifier has six or fewer teams competing, only one team will receive an automatic bid.
PGA of America staff member will be on-site to run each qualifier.
Depending on the climate, National Qualifiers will take place in the late fall or early spring. Northern regions can expect qualifiers to be held in the fall. Southern regions can expect spring qualifiers.
Qualifiers do not count in the National Rankings.
We are excited to announce a multi-year partnership with Pinehurst Resort. The inaugural NCCGA Pinehurst Open will take place on December 6-7, 2025, utilizing Pinehurst No. 6 and Pinehurst No. 9.
Any active, full dues-paying team may enter this event. Entry priority goes to the earliest paid entries. Registration will open in late September. All teams must have paid dues to have their entry accepted.
The field will consist of 25 teams and up to eight (8) individuals.
The top 2 teams and individual medalist from the NCCGA Pinehurst Open will receive an automatic bid into the 2026 NCCGA National Championship.
On-site lodging is required to participate in this event.
The Pinehurst Open does not count in National Rankings.
To recognize the best club teams in the country from the 2025-26 competition season, we are moving to a single National Championship in late April. The target date is April 25-26, 2026.
Year-round scheduling combined with National Qualifiers should provide teams more time and flexibility in planning for the event.
Qualification for the National Championship will include the automatic bids from Qualifiers, NCCGA Pinehurst Open, and the next highest nationally-ranked teams from Regional events to fill the field. Any individual in the top 10 rankings at the end of the competition year who is not otherwise qualified will also receive a bid to the National Championship.
Note: Results from National Qualifiers and the NCCGA Pinehurst Open do not count toward National Rankings. National Rankings are determined by results from Regional Events only.

The NCCGA launched an Advisory Board to play a crucial role in shaping the direction and policies of collegiate club golf. The board is comprised of representatives from different Regions to provide strategic advice and support to ensure that the NCCGA consistently upholds its commitment to offering inclusive, competitive, and enjoyable golfing experiences for college students.
We encourage any NCCGA participant to apply. This is not limited to Club Presidents.
Meetings will be monthly, beginning in July, on the second Wednesday of each month at 2 p.m. CT.
The 2025-2026 NCCGA Advisory Board has already been selected for the school year, and applications are closed. You may still submit the NCCGA Advisory Board Application if you are interested in being a representative in the future.
