You MUST complete the registration forms to earn PDR.

The presenter(s) will submit your PDR credit upon completion of each session.

October 11, 2023 | Performance Reviews & Negotiation

Know Your Value, Articulate and Leverage it. As we prepare for the end of the season in much of the country, join Mountain & Midwest Director Keith Soriano, PGA, and Career Consultant Keith Fisher, PGA, as they discuss strategies to prepare for your upcoming performance evaluations and tactics to approach salary negotiation. They will focus on the current market climate, negotiating raises in your current position, negotiation for new positions, identifying and articulating your value, and non-monetary and incentive-based compensation packages that can significantly improve your situation. 

November 15, 2023 | Social Media & Branding for Clubs and Individuals

Branding for You and Your Club.  The Mountain & Midwest's monthly education will continue in November with Social Media/Branding for Clubs & Individuals. The education will be co-hosted by Field Club of Omaha's Digital Media Director, Lizzy Sosa and Career Consultant for the Iowa & Nebraska Sections, Kevin Drew, PGA. The education will focus on the benefits of social media and how the use of technology can help promote you and your facility in multiple ways. Lizzy will showcase several ways she has been able to promote Food & Beverage, the pool, events, and golf operations with interactive flyers, drone footage, event recaps, and much more. In addition to Lizzy, Kevin will touch on how you can use online platforms such as canva and google sites to help build your brand, whether it's preparing your portfolio or building a packet for section awards. This education promises to provide insight and knowledge on how to leave an impactful digital footprint for you and your club.

December 6, 2023 | The Business Value of Teaching

Leverage the Power of Golf Instruction to Drive Revenue. Join the Mountain & Midwest team members Sirene Blair and Mike Aldrich, PGA for a free virtual education opportunity on the topic of Business Value of Teaching. Proponent Group Founder and President Lorin Anderson will share valuable insight to help golf instructors showcase their value at a facility and improve their business. At your facility, all departments play an indispensable role in providing the customer with a positive experience, and teaching can provide a necessary sense of community and loyalty at your facility. In this education, we will talk about creating loyal customers that will continue to visit the facility outside of your instruction to utilize the practice facilities, play golf, book events, dine, and shop.

Understanding the Business Side of Your Operation. No matter your position at your facility, you must understand how to review and adjust financial statements. Financial statements are the key to understanding your operation's financial health, performance, and cash flow. In addition to this, you must know how to build a budget to any scale. Budgeting accordingly will help you reach your business goals and anticipate operational changes.  PGA Career Consultant Andrea Kloppman-Heit will be joined by Hazeltine National Golf Club's General Manager, Phil Anderson, PGA to lead the education.
