OMAHA, NE | Miracle Hill is positioned in the middle of the Omaha Metro area making it easily accessible for our players. The par 70 golf course opened in 1961 and plays host to 40,000 rounds annually. Along with the golf course the facility boasts a hub of year round activity with an 8 bay Toptracer studio, 8 indoor tennis/pickleball courts and 2000 sqft indoor golf training center complete with Trackman.
In late 2022 and early 2023 Miracle Hill completed a brand new short game facility that encompasses a 100 yard wedge range with targets from 30-100 yards. An 8000 square foot artificial turf green and surrounds with a variety of turf lengths and lies to work on multitude of shots. Part of the complex is a practice bunker for room to work with up to 5 students. This new area completes our already full service practice range with 35 grass tees from April 15-September 15 and 20 Mat spots for use during the remainder of the year. In addition to the golf course, the facility is home to a year round Top Tracer facility with a 2000 square foot indoor training center equipped with state of the art teaching and club-fitting technology.
We allow only Miracle Hill Instructors to teach on our practice areas and keep a well groomed area on our grass tee for our instructors. Between the Large grass tee and new short game areas the ability to host golf clinics and schools is a huge opportunity for our Director of Player Development.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Position Type: Year round Director of Player Development
General Purpose:
To develop, maintain, and manage a premier Teaching Program that meets the instructional needs of the community. Requirements will include the planning, promotion and creation of a program that will continuously develop the golfing abilities and enjoyment of the game of our current and future players. The Director of Player Development position is a great opportunity to promote the game of golf, Miracle Hill and positively impact the lives of those involved in our programming.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assure quality service and instructional programs.
Schedule and coordinate all instructional programs and lessons at Miracle Hill Golf.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to all students.
Must be able to work with students of all abilities and be able to adapt to individual physical limitations.
Supervise the upkeep of the teaching tee and surrounding area to ensure that safe, clean, organized, and professional conditions exist daily.
Train and Mentor the Miracle Hill Golf Professionals on golf instruction, specifically the latest teaching philosophies and fundamentals as well as.
Utilize state of the art teaching and learning theories and be able to integrate the use of teaching aids, including video analysis and trackman, when appropriate.
Knowledge of physical fitness as a key performance factor in the enjoyment of golf and achievement of golf goals.
Always conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image.
Be informed on and promote all club activities and services.
Maintain a close working relationship with the Golf Staff as well as all Club Departments.
Adhere to all Club and Golf Department related policies and procedures.
Attend conferences, workshops, meetings, and trade shows to keep abreast of current trends in the industry.
Develop and Promote Miracle Hill Junior Golf Programs.
Develop and Promote Player Development Programs for Adult players of all abilities.
PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES & QUALIFICATIONS
PGA Member and or LPGA Member (in good standing)
Extensive experience in golf instruction and player development programs
Strong background in club fitting and knowledge of current manufacturers offerings preferred
Self-Motivated, Self-Promoter
Ability to provide high quality guest service skills.
Strong verbal communication, written communication, and organizational skills
Computer skills and ability to utilize current teaching technology required
PGA HOPE Certified is a preferred
New Short Game Teaching Area
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The base salary for this position is $25,000
Commission Phase 1: 75/25% split until base salary of $25k is achieved
Commission Phase 2: 90/10% split of all lessons and 85/15% split of all clinics over $25K
Jr. Golf income revenue share with staff PGA Professionals
Projected 1st year income: $75-$100k plus salary
Projected 2nd year income: $100-$125k plus salary
