Lake Charles, LA
Our Club’s mission is to provide a unique, personal experience in the traditional country club manner. Since our founding in 1905, the LCCC has existed to serve its members and offer a second home to generations of families in Southwest Louisiana.
Located on the beautiful and historic Prien Lake, the Lake Charles Country Club is Southwest Louisiana's premier private country club. Founded in 1905, the LCCC is one of the oldest private clubs in the entire South. It offers a first-class, traditional southern country club with a full range of amenities, including an 18-hole golf course, driving range, tennis/pickleball courts, swimming pool, marina and casual and fine dining and social facilities. Our mission is to provide private membership with the kind of experience expected in an upscale private club. The first clubhouse was built in 1919, with a complete clubhouse renovation in 2008. The Clubhouse includes: Formal Dining Room, Casual Grill, Bar and Lounge, Spacious Ball Room & Magnolia Room, both with a mantle fireplace and 10 ft floor to ceiling windows, and Men and Ladies' locker rooms and lounges. Our Swimming Pool Pavilion is fully operational from May-September with full-time attendant staff. The pool area also consists of a state-of-the-art grill, enclosed pavilion, and cabana, for those seeking casual outdoor dining. The LCCC has three lighted Tennis/Pickle Ball courts, adjoining the pool house. The Marina is open year-round with fuel services available upon request. Our boat stalls accommodate boats 16 feet to 55 feet in length. Both covered and uncovered stalls are available for member convenience. The golf course of the LCCC has a history of top-quality conditioning and maintenance. We now offer beautiful Tifeagle greens and rolling Tifsport fairways that provide a challenging course for golfers of all skill levels. Our well-stocked pro shop boasts top-of-the-line golf equipment, a beautiful golf cart fleet, a great practice facility, club cleaning, bag storage, video golf lessons and a full tournament schedule for all golfers!
The 18-hole course at the Lake Charles Country Club facility features 6,656 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.2 and it has a slope rating of 128. The golf course originally opened in 1919 and hosted the Louisiana State Amateur for the first time in 1922. It has since hosted four additional state amateur championships, as well as numerous other state and USGA events. The course was renovated by Ralph M. Plummer, ASGCA, in 1956. Subsequent renovations were overseen by Ron Prichard in 1991 and then by the club’s current architect, Jeff Blume, ASGCA, on several occasions over the last 20 years.
Our beautiful facility provides exceptional food, beverage and event services. Membership privileges include a complete dining program featuring casual and fine dining options in our bars, grills and Main Dining Room. The hospitality team creates a variety of social activities for our members such as Sunday brunch, wine tastings, family-themed events, cooking classes and live entertainment.
All of Lake Charles and the LCCC suffered severe damage from Hurricane Laura in August of 2020 and additional damage from Hurricane Delta in October of 2020. With the commitment of the Membership, Board of Directors, Officers and LCCC Staff, the LCCC restored most operating conditions with both permanent and temporary repairs within weeks of the first Hurricane Laura and again days after the second Hurricane Delta. The LCCC Golf Course, Pool facilities, and Dining are fully operational, with the Main Club House and Pro Shops currently undergoing upgrade and repairs under Architect and Contractors at the direction of the LCCC Building committee. The Driving Range is currently under contract for complete replacement. The Marina is undergoing repairs also under contract. The LCCC is committed to continuing permanent repairs fully supported by the membership and our financial partners to completion. The successful candidate will be working with the BOD and our member support partners to bring the LCCC back to its premier pre-hurricane Private Club status.
