Blacklick, OH | Jefferson Golf & Country Club is part of a luxury country club community. The master plan was developed to maintain the delicate balance between a private championship-caliber golf course and the luxury home sites. Jefferson Country Club is located on a 372-acre reserve in the prestigious Jefferson Township. The highlight of the Jefferson neighborhood is the spectacular Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed golf course that opened for play in 1992. Jones created one of his most unique and challenging courses on this magnificent site, which recently completed a spectacular course renovation with the help of Robert Trent Jones and his team. The excitement and beauty of the course are renowned by all who grace its aesthetic fairways.
A distinct characteristic of the course is the diversity of the front and back nine holes. The front (Heathland) nine is reminiscent of old Scottish links golf with undulating mounds and sweeping fescue grasses blowing in the wind. The back (Woodland) nine represents the more traditional American-style courses with dense woods and dramatic rolling terrain. The Course has been constructed in harmony with the existing environment, a Jones trademark, exhibiting maturity far beyond its years. Jefferson has men’s and women’s golf associations both with active tournament schedules. A diverse instructional program and golf academy has been developed including an innovative junior program. In addition, there is a driving range, short game area, indoor hitting facility and practice putting green.
Additional amenities of the club include: Olympic-Size Swimming Pool that is converted to indoor via a dome for winter, two 1-meter diving boards, and kiddie pool; beautiful recently renovated clubhouse offering fine dining and a banquet facility that can accommodate 350 people; private Men's Grille Room & Ladies' Card Room; six Har-Tru Clay Tennis Courts; two pickleball courts, and Workout Room, indoor hitting facility featuring three bays, including a trackman simulator.

Reports to: General Manager
Supervises: Assistant Golf Professionals, Golf Shop Staff and Outside Operations Staff
Position Description: The Head Golf Professional will manage and oversee all facets of the golf shop operation and all related activities. Responsibilities include those typical of a head professional at a fine private club. A full job description will be available from the employer during the interview process.

While the Head Golf Professional performs a variety of duties and responsibilities while serving the club and its members, the following factors are essential:
Exceptional and consistent member service and hospitality
The ability to hire, train, direct, and motivate staff to provide flawless operations and service on a daily basis
Membership recruiting and retention
Membership tournaments and events
Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities
Sales and promotional ability to positively impact revenues and profitability
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Including, but not limited to, the following:
Must be a PGA of America Class “A” Member in good standing.
Sufficient work experience in golf operations to assume leadership and management of the golf operation at this private club.
Experience and expertise in:
Golf merchandising
Organizing and conducting tournaments and outings
Individual and group golf instruction
Staff management and supervision
Knowledge of the rules of golf
