Mission Hills, KS
Mission Hills, Kansas | Indian Hills Country Club, located in the heart of picturesque Mission Hills, Kansas, offers lush greens that challenge the best, along with a variety of recreational and clubhouse amenities. Designed by A.W. Tillinghast in 1927, Indian Hills' Golf Course has played host to more than 50 USGA and State Amateur qualifying events. Indian Hills hosted the 53rd U.S. Girls' Junior Championship in 2001, the first USGA conducted championship held at any club in Kansas City in over 40 years and won by LPGA star Nicole Perrot. Indian Hills has also been the host site for The Watson Challenge in 2012 and 2022. TWC is hosted by Kansas City native and World Golf Hall of Fame member Tom Watson to identify the best golfer in Kansas City. It is a prestigious event that the region’s top professional and amateur players vie to qualify for each season.
In addition to championship golf, Indian Hills Country Club enjoys a vibrant culture with many families having multiple generations among the members of the club. Friday evenings at Tilly 19 are a community affair with members gathering with friends old and new to enjoy a fine cocktail outdoors and watch a game or watch fellow club members finish their rounds on the 18th hole.
The club’s mission is to be a private, member-owned, full-service club dedicated to providing its members, their families and guests with high quality, relevant programs, services, and facilities while recognizing the club’s heritage, cultivating friendships, valuing family life and fostering a culture of courtesy all in a fiscally responsible manner.
Indian Hills has been on the cutting edge of club services throughout its history. A complete clubhouse and Golf Shop renovation took place in 2007 and 2008 and positioned the club with cutting edge, state-of-the-art facilities. The addition of The Tilly 19 food and bar area near the 18th green added a casual dining outlet that fosters a great culture among the members. A long-range master plan is currently under development and will include new irrigation systems, greens renovation, and other course improvements.
The current Director of Golf, Michael Ricket, PGA, has been with the club for over 40 years. The club enjoys a reputation for having long-time staff members in every department and seeks to create deep and lasting relationships.
