Title: Head Golf Professional
Reports to: Golf Chairman
Supervises: All Golf Operations Team Members
Position Description: The Head Golf Professional will report to the Golf Chairman and will have the experience and knowledge to build a premier golf operation and a strong team.
The Head Professional will have a warm and engaging presence and continue to enhance the culture of the club by setting high standards of service, developing standard operating procedures, and training staff to consistently execute on these standards. The Head Golf Professional must be collaborative, communicative, and quickly assimilate into the cohesive, high-performing team and become a high-performing team member as well.
Develop and manage the fiscal responsibilities for all golf areas, including planning, forecasting, budget development, management, and creating accurate monthly reports for the Board of Directors.
Utilize Jonas and Golf Genius software programs to their full capability.
Assimilate and build relationships with current staff members; design and implement performance strategies that promote a positive workplace, enhance key employee retention, and improve overall member satisfaction.
Responsible for hiring, training, and evaluating new golf operations staff.
Taking an active role in onboarding new members, ensuring they understand group play and how to navigate a no tee times policy.
Take initiative in communicating with the Food & Beverage Manager and Golf Course Superintendent on upcoming events, guests on property, and daily activities.
Create and implement exciting tournaments and programming while honoring the current traditions of the club.
Elevate the instructional programming, implementing relevant technologies and training staff on the art of teaching.
Develop effective communication channels with the Membership and Board of Directors, promoting new merchandise arrivals, new golf upcoming events, event winners, course maintenance schedules, and also highlighting the accomplishments of staff.
Attend Board Meetings and present reports as requested.
Play golf with a variety of Members when time permits.
Represent the Club in a professional and positive manner both on and off property.
Follow and ensure staff follows the Employee Handbook and club rules
The Head Professional will have the experience and knowledge to operate a premier golf operation while mentoring and leading a young team in accordance with the expectations of the Board of Directors and Members.

Elevate the golf merchandise concession, catering to the desires and needs of the Members.
A respectable ability to play and teach the game of golf.
The club is seeking a professional who is committed to the club and not looking to use this opportunity as a stepping stone.
Including, but not limited to, the following:
Class A, PGA or LPGA Member in good standing
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Class A professional at a private club
Must be passionate about the profession
High-level proficiency in MS Office applications and other technology
Excellent interpersonal communication skills in both written and verbal formats
Maintains a professional image within the club and the South Florida PGA Section
Must understand the seasonality of the South Florida market
The club will provide a compensation and benefits package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
