ABOUT THE COUNTRY CLUB OF MISSOURI
COLUMBIA, MO | The Country Club of Missouri is the only Member-owned and managed country club in Columbia, Missouri. Established in 1971, our traditions surround family and community. Our Club offers a challenging golf course, state-of-the-art tennis courts, a large pool with spray ground, excellent dining and event facilities and activities for all Members to enjoy. Whether you are looking for a place to relax, to play a round of golf or enjoy happy hour with friends, CCMO is the premier Club in Mid-Missouri.
The par 72, 18-hole championship golf course is nestled in southwest Columbia with a traditional layout designed by Dr. Marvin Ferguson. The golf course is 'player friendly' with zoysia fairways, bluegrass rough and bent grass greens that have subtle breaks providing a challenge for all levels of golfers. In addition to the golf course, we offer a practice facility including a practice tee, a short game area and a putting green. The junior golf program is very active and a benefit to young families.
The club boasts an active tennis and pickleball program complete with five tennis courts, four pickle ball courts, tennis shop and patio. The food and beverage options at CCMO delivers member dining, activities, poolside options, and the event center. The Club has several venues to serve its members and the event center is unique to the metro area of 250,000 residents.
CCMO is the place to be each summer! The swim facility includes open swim, lap lanes, splash ground, locker rooms, tiki bar and kitchen. Children's activities include private and group swimming lessons, swim team and summer camps. Activities such as Dive-In Movies and Late Night Swims are fun for the whole family. If you want to stay active, join our aquacise group or dive into one of our lap lanes. The CCMO Pool is a great place to relax in the sun or have a snack in the shade.

This season, the Country Club of Missouri begins an exciting chapter in the Club’s history with a significant multi-million-dollar clubhouse renovation and expansion of existing facilities. The scope of this progressive project includes:

JOB SUMMARY
Head Golf Professional:
The ideal candidate will work closely with the General Manager to ensure a seamless, member hospitality-driven operation at the club. This position focuses on the member experience, retail services, oversight of golf shop, outside services operations, and management of the golf professionals and related responsibilities. This is a hands-on position that will ensure the highest standards of service, safety, comfort, organization, presentation, and direct all department activities, projects and programs. The creative, collaborative and resourceful head golf professional will lead the golf department in accord with CCMO culture and policies.

SKILL SET & RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversight of the golf department and golf professional team, including operations, retail, events, and player development.
Promote the game of golf amongst the CCMO membership including coaching, golfing with members, supporting the PGA of America and Missouri Golf Association.
Represent the CCMO brand within the Columbia community.
Foster teamwork within the golf department and in concert with each of the other departments.
Approach each day at the Club with a mindset of helping others and continued improvement.
Create, execute, and collaborate on ideas that drive demand and financial success of the golf department and Club.
Assist in implementing applicable operating, human resources, and safety policies and procedures pertaining to golf shop and outside service activities. Ensure procedures are followed to open, close, and secure the golf shop and storage buildings.
Ensure accurate tracking of course utilization by members and guests. Monitor member preferences, usage patterns, and satisfaction with company products and services. Assess the quality of internal and external customer service and pace of play. Recommend and execute plans for continued improvement.
Supervise and train all golf shop staff in selling techniques and ensure they are enhancing the retail experience of members, guests, outings, and member-based companies.
Maintains levels of product appropriate for the season and level of traffic through golf shop.
Maximize financial performance by updating the open-to-buy plan within budgetary and cash flow guidelines.
Maintains an attractive and orderly appearance in and around the golf shop. Partner with golf staff and General Manager on annual AGM Platinum Golf Shop Award submission.
Maintains product documentation from purchase to sale - including purchase orders, receiving records, invoice validation/payment, inventory records and special-order records to document merchandise history.
Conducts accurate and timely physical inventory counts.
Update and maintain policies/procedures and job descriptions for areas of supervision and direct reports. Collaborate with the team to set goals, expectations, and accountability.
Develop and manage an innovative tournament services program for golf groups and golf outings. The club hosts several member and member-sponsored golf events throughout the year. A working knowledge of Golf Genius Premium is important.
Working knowledge of member website and social media platforms.
Monitor facility activities and make recommendations to improve member service and/or operational efficiencies.
Assure the efficient and timely submission of all required inventories, operational, financial, budgetary, marketing and sales reports for golf operations.
Collaborating with the General Manager and Controller, create, seasonalize and implement the annual operating budget for the golf department.
Manage employment activities for applicable staff members including recruitment and selection, performance evaluations, training, compensation, payroll preparation, corrective action, and termination, etc. in compliance with human resources policies and procedures.
Plan departmental work and staffing schedules to achieve quality standards with responsible labor costs.
Conduct staff meetings to ensure coordination of departmental activities as well as with other departments.
Maintain accurate records pertaining to department activities including, but not limited to, labor schedules, building maintenance, equipment repair, safety meetings, activities, etc.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
This includes but not limited to:
Base Salary of $85,000-$95,000
Incentive bonus based upon financials, business plan, member, and employee satisfaction
$275 monthly club stipend
Lesson/Clinic Income of $5,000-$8,000
Allowance for continuing education/industry trade shows
