With the recent renovation by Beau Welling, the championship 18-hole layout is known as an eminently parkland design that includes landing areas and forward tee positions which are ideal for golfers from pros to beginners. Featuring generous fairways with strategic bunkering, golfers say Coosa maintains some of the best greens in the State. The course is further distinguished by playing along the Coosa River minutes from downtown Rome.
Through the years, Coosa has hosted 7 GSGA Men's Amateur Championships, 5 GSGA Women's Amateur Championships, 3 State Mid AMS, 5 Boys Championships, 3 Girls Championships, and many AJGA Events.
The Coosa Country Club Golf Lifestyle
Coosa Country Club golf is a classic country club setting with No Tee Times required. The pace of play, care for the course, and adherence to club rules are cornerstones of Coosa. Club Tournaments, WGA and MGA events as well as The Coosa Invitational are annual events.
In addition, Coosa has a very active Junior Golf Program with year-round activities and Summer Jr. League Camps. The Professional Staff is always available for golf instruction.
State-of-the-art golf instruction is also available to members. The Golf Learning Center records and reviews the student's swing from four angles using the Vl Golf Learning System. In addition, the FlightScope Launch Monitor analyzes aspects of the golf swing for teaching and club fitting.
Through shared interests and unique experiences, Coosa Country Club offers a way of life that naturally brings people together; where casual conversations between members and staff quickly yield to authentic friendships and camaraderie, within a place of serene beauty.
